Access to Quality Education For All: UA-PAC. believe s that good education should not be limited to those with access to financial resources, but our entire Washington State residents. Neighborhood Planning (NP).

Thoughtful, deliberate and inclusive planning is extremely important to ensure that neighborhoods are not gentrified and that urban centers retain the vibrant diversity and vitality that are the sign of great cities.

One of the UAPAC’s Mission is to make sure that any neighborhood growth and development should not impact on the low income as well as the people of color negatively. It is our view that Well designed neighborhood planning must support Transit Oriented Development, Environmental Stewardship, mix income housing with well-crafted affordable housing subsidy, and streets capes (including sidewalks, landscaped strips, sidewalks, on-street parking, traffic & bicycle lanes, etc.).

Transit Oriented Development (TOD): It is our firm belief that higher density of a mixed use residential within walking distance or half mile of transit stations maximizes access to public transportation, and creates sustainable community which allow residents to have housing and transportation choices.

Equal Access to Healthcare: UA-PAC advocates culturally competent and affordable healthcare that is responsive to the African community’s needs. UA-PAC supports Universal Health Care Coverage.

Safe Communities: UA-PAC firmly believes that Immigrant friendly, zero- tolerance of racial profiling, and culturally competent community policing are the best ways to secure our neighborhoods.

Affirmative Action: UA-PAC believes that Affirmative action is not preferential treatment but an effective tool to decrease existing disparity in our communities.
