Our health care system is broken, and American small businesses urgently need a solution.
Across the country, more than one third of small businesses have been forced to reduce benefits in recent years.
Since the early 1990s, about a third of small business owners have had to drop insurance coverage for employees altogether.
It’s hard for small businesses to create jobs if they also have to bear the weight of skyrocketing premiums. (read more…)

On Election Day last week, I proclaimed that the health care workers union, Service Employees International Union (SEIU), would be the biggest winners of the night because they were poised to help knock out King County Executive candidate Rep. Ross Hunter (D-48, Medina). They helped fund a $30,000 independent expenditure ad against him. (read more…)

We ultimately selected those candidates who we felt best reflected the highest level of commitment to the interst of African immigrant community in King County, and the ability to follow through if elected.
